The HOOKUP LURES® Redfish team of Capt. Troy Mell and Capt. Jason Swensson took 3rd overall Eastern Division on the Redfish tour, fishing exclusively with Hookup XL's. Little River, S.C. I just wanted to thank you for making such a great bucktail jig and making my vacation. This past week I caught Ten (10) Snook in (1) Hour using your HookUp Bucktail Jig (1/2 oz. Red/White #116-09). There were Four (4) other people fishing in the same location. I was the only one using a bucktail jig and I was the only one catching snook. The other fishermen asked me what I was using and I told them "A Capt. Hank Brown HookUp Lure Bucktail Jig!" Needless to say - I think you have Four (4) more new customers. I out fished live bait (10) to None! The bad thing was that I only had Three (3) 1/2 oz. Red/White #116-09 Bucktail Jigs with me on vacation and I ultimately lost them all that same day to the rocks. I could not find any replacements at any of the tackle shops in the Ft. Myers/Sanibel/Captiva area. The only thing I could find was 1/4 oz. version at the ORVIS Lee County Outfitters Store. Maus Orlando, FL 32817 Dear Hook-Up Lures I have been king fishing in Little River SC for about a year now with very miner success, until I put on a Hank Brown yesterday. I have been slow trolling pre rigged ballyhoo with an occasional king hit. After reading a post at a fishing site that recommended trying a Hank Brown with a dead cigar. I went to Bass pro shops and bought 4 of your rigs. Yesterday I went to an area known here as the JUNGLE about 23 miles out and rigged three trolling rods with Hanks & cigars and put one down 35 feet on my down rigger and before I could get the other two rods in the water the down rigger rod was bent in half. The first king was around 25 LBS ! I finally brought him in and released him and got all three rods in the water when two started screaming at the same time. In all I caught 4 Kings from 15-25 lbs. and an Amber Jack and lost another four because I could only handle one rod at a time. The rigged cigars swam very life like and the rigs stood up very well. I only lost one treble all day. I will stock up on your rigs from your site and just wanted to say THEY WORK! Sincerely, Jay F.
